Bye For Now....

So after much haggling Kia Rental have managed to source us an EV replacement whilst our car is away. They were trying to fob us of with a petrol Soul but after complaining (alot) they have managed to source a Kia Niro EV (supposedly brand new) that will be delivered on Monday. Meaning we have been without a car for 5 days in total.

Had to go and collect our belongings today and cant say it didn't feel a little sad doing so. The car goes back to Kia next Wednesday and then we are expecting a 3 month wait for its return. Apart from the guy at Kia rental who apologized (he asked how long do we think we need the rental for and when I replied three months - he was shocked and apologized). Kia and the dealer didn't seem that bothered.

I called Lex auto who we lease the car through and have to say they were quite helpful. The have opened a complaint case and will look to see if they can compensate for not getting a like for like car (and were potentially looking at compensation if we were given a petrol/diesel as well).

Effectively we will be paying Kia EV6 premium money for a Kia Niro - so lets see what happens there.

So I go from 1st EV to potentially 2nd EV in the space of less than two months we have been without the car for 6 days in total, and clocked up around 1000 EV miles.

I'm hoping it gets fixed and returns ASAP.

Thanks to those on the forums and blog for the words of comfort and advice so far.
